Accommodations: JMV and project partners provide on-field accommodations, meals and pocket money.
Financing: The cost of supporting a volunteer is around 5,000 euros per year. This includes plane fare, insurance, living expenses and pocket money. Part of the cost is covered by the Missions Procurator and project partners, and the volunteers are also responsible for finding sponsors to cover other costs.
Accompaniment: The Volunteers will be accompanied by a Jesuit on location and a contact person in Germany. The JMV may have days of reflection and retreats (Spiritual Exercises), which can help them to understand their new experiences in light of the Gospel and to deepen their faith.
For youth who have completed high school or are studying in a university and intend to work abroad for a period of 3-6 months, our Worldwide Workshop Experiment (WeWeX) – an initiative for youth – is a perfect fit.
